Meet the Team

The Wandsworth Hearing Support Service (WHSS) has a large, experienced team staffed by qualified teachers of the deaf. In addition to their teaching qualification, each staff member has completed a one-year advanced training course or a four-year degree course in teaching the deaf.

Among our team, most teachers have additional expertise, for example, in cochlear implants, deaf children aged 0-2 years, and deafblindness. WHSS also provides opportunities for teachers to train as teachers of the deaf. WHSS employs two teachers of the deaf who are also qualified in Educational Audiology at Master's level.
