This set is a far cry from the usual hyper boosted upper mids section we frequently encounter at the budget CHIFI segment. Speed is also medium level , not the fastest or the slowest I've heard and also it has cleaness to it.

Punchy bass that will satisfy those listening to modern music genres or liking a (very) V-shape sound signature. have not tried any Blon product as I never got into its looks and didn’t want to endure the “fit” issue. The syncopated rhythms and lively orchestration in "Morning" from Britten's "Four Sea Interludes" was depicted attractively on the KS1. TBH, I’ve actually seen some CHIFI retailing for much more that provide exactly the same accessories (cough cough a CHIFI company that has 3 alphabets starting with T). Indeed, the KBEAR KS1 will also make a good alternative to the hypetrain BLON BL-03 and BLON BL-01, especially since there is no need to worry about fixing the fit with aftermarket tips/cables and there is also no need to source for a powerful source (no pun intended), just to get the IEM to sing.

As well, sub bass swallow the kick punch with notable bleed on lower mid range, this make very hard to heard the kick singularity in music that have autorithative bass line. They are V shaped giving good sub and mid bass, which to my ears is fast, the mids are recessed but give you clear presence so as not to feel you lack information in the mid spectrum of the frequency range. Comfort: Given the pseudo-custom shell design and its lightweight nature, the KBEar KS1 is very comfortable to wear. I would even say it’s organic, as the presentation sounds very raw, like you’re listening to the song live.

These are some of the notable tracks used to come to my conclusions for those who're interested (not exhaustive). That is not to say, at reasonable volume levels, you will have a shouty presentation of the mids, because they are not tuned to focus on the mid range, to my ears. I found it nice that they actually included another pair of medium eartips on the earphone itself because most users tend to lose at least one pair of eartips. CONCLUSION: Music is pleasant, good for electronic without too much punch, video and film given the well expressed mids.
