A farewell from Steph Halder

Dear Families

After almost 11 years with the Hearing Support Service, the last two as Head of Wandsworth Sensory Support Services, I have made the difficult decision to leave and accept a position within the NHS. It has been an absolute pleasure and privilege to work with children and families as part of the Service.

The Service has an excellent reputation within and beyond the Borough which is attributed to the outstanding care and education provided by all the staff. I know I will be leaving the Service in very capable hands with staff dedicated and committed to providing excellent support to children with sensory impairment, their families and local provisions.

Debbie Rix, Head of Linden Lodge and former Head of WSSS will lead the Service and the process is underway to recruit a new Head of Service. If you have any child specific queries please contact your child’s teacher of the deaf / visually impaired. For all other queries please contact Debbie’s PA, Louise Greenwood, at greenwood@wandsworthhis.org.uk

Thank you for your continued support. I wish you all the very best for the future.

Yours sincerely

Steph Halder

Head of WSSS
