Wandsworth Hearing Support Service is part of the Wandsworth Sensory Support Service which employs nearly 250 dedicated and committed staff. This is the largest and most diverse team of professionals working in this field in the South East of England. Within our teams we have specialists with a national reputation for their work in this field.

Here you can find opportunities within the Wandsworth Hearing Support Service, which includes the Rowan Hearing Support Centre and Willow Hearing Support Centre, the Linden Lodge School, and teacher of the deaf input into St George’s Auditory Implant Service.

Volunteering with us

Here are just some of the ways you can volunteer and help deaf children and young people achieve their full potential:

  • Volunteer in the classrooms during the normal school working day
  • Work in the admin/resources teams during the day
  • Help us with after school and weekend activities

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer please contact us in the first instance to see if there are any vacancies. If we are inviting volunteer applications, you will be asked to provide the following:

  • A letter telling us a bit about yourself, any previous relevant experience and how you would like to support us.
  • A check by the Disclosure and Barring Scheme (formally CRB) to ensure that you have been suitably vetted for working with children and young people
