Who We Are and What We Offer

Wandsworth Sensory Support Services (WSSS) comprises Linden Lodge School, Wandsworth Hearing Support and Wandsworth Vision Support Services. Our combined team of nearly 250 dedicated and committed staff provide education, care and support to almost 1,000  children and young people from birth to 25 years of age. The largest and most diverse team of professionals working in the field of sensory impairment in the south east, we are recognised nationally and internationally for our work.

Wandsworth Hearing Support Service - 101 Nightingale Lane, London SW12 8NA

  • The Willow Hearing Support Centre (formerly Sellincourt Hearing Impaired Unit)
  • The Rowan Hearing Support Centre (formerly Southfields Hearing Imapired Unit)
  • The Acorn Family Centre
  • The teacher of the deaf input to St. George’s Cochlear Implant Centre
  • Parent education and training programmes for families of sensory-impaired children.

The Wandsworth Hearing Support Service offers hearing support, advice and access to resources for deaf children and young people, and their families.  If your child has a hearing loss, our team can provide counselling and support for parents, siblings and grandparents; offer expert teaching for your deaf child in one-to-one or small group sessions; provide training and access to specialist audiological equipment such as soundfield technology; and offer guidance in making the right choices for your deaf child’s education. We also offer training and consultancy for teachers of the deaf and other professionals working with deaf children and young people in Wandsworth, as well as across London and the South East. Our dedicated team is made up of highly skilled and experienced professionals and we are one of the UK’s leading service providers in this field

  • Advisory Service to schools and other settings within Wandsworth and Kensington & Chelsea
  • Home visiting programmes
  • Weekly playgroup for children with sensory needs
  • Student counselling service providing counselling for children and young people in the Service and in Linden Lodge School
