The Instax Wide 300 can create images 2.4 x 3.9 in (9.91 x 6.1 cm) in size on a 3.4 x 4.3 in (10.92 x 8.64 cm) piece of film. It also features a retractable 95mm f/14 lens with a two-range focus zone setting. This is great for making sure your images are sharp. It also sports a 0.37x optical viewfinder with a target spot to help you compose images. We test camera resolution, dynamic range, and noise under scientifically controlled conditions using two key testing tools: Imatest Master and DxO Analyzer. The rear camera isn't quite as high quality as that of the Thinkware U1000, being only Full HD rather than the U1000's slightly higher 2560x1440 resolution. This may well be more than enough for your needs, however, and it still looks pretty darn good. You also get some useful extra modes such as Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) and Super Night Vision, meaning you're always prepared no matter the weather and lighting conditions. Every lens has a millimeter number, such as 50mm. This is called your focal length. It simply refers to how far “zoomed-in” a lens is — how narrow of an angle it captures. Lenses with a higher number (anything 85 or more) are considered telephoto lenses, which are like telescopes, magnifying things in the distance. Lenses with a lower number (anything 28 or less) are considered wide-angle lenses that show a much more sweeping view. And anything in between, like a 50mm lens, is a normal lens. Keep in mind that the exact numbers are not as important as what they represent. Some people would say that a 35mm lens is a “wide normal” lens, for example. The Thinkware Q1000 is a high-end dash cam, which features high-quality 2K videos (with a slightly higher resolution of 2K rather than the 1440P of its predecessor the Q800 Pro), lane departure warning, and a speed camera alert system. This is a bit of a leftfield choice, but honestly –if a complete beginner asks me what camera to use strictly for vlogging, this is the one I recommend. It's one of Canon's most conceptual and cleverest cameras ever –and the only true vlogging camera that's just as simple to use as your smartphone (unlike other "vlogging cameras" that are just regular cameras with video specs, and aren't really designed for the job!).
