About this deal

It was annoying and infuriating to watch the two of them, but it was also extremly funny at times. And Seth was so cute talking about his crush with Darcy all the time.

Description: This was supposed to be the last book of the Zodiac Academy series, finishing the saga with a fight for the throne between the twins and Lionel Acrux. I can't in good faith go into too much detail to avoid the potential for spoilers, but these were some of my favorite bits and pieces: Chapter 5, 30, and 46 will live rent-free in my mind from here to eternity. The way they love each other is so pure, they only want what's best for the other at all times. You are meant for the sunlight, Lance Orion. So you’ll stand with me in it or else we’ll stay in the dark together,” she said hotly and I met her gaze, the taste of that very sunlight she spoke of on my tongue now. She was my destiny, and there was no two ways about that. I would follow her so far into the light that I’d go blind, or so deep into the dark that I’d be lost forever. I’ll love you ‘til the world is dust,” Orion breathed and those words sent a delicious tremor down to the centre of my being.Nah, you don’t. Okay, okay, I can do better. I’m gonna name you The BFV – The Big Friendly Vampire. It encompasses your bigness, your friendliness, and your Vampiness.” However, plot wise, there wasn't a lot going on since I felt like this one was more about the characters and the relationships they have with each other. We got POVs from the twins, the Heirs, Geraldine, Xavier, Orion, Gabriel, even a few from Lionel (totally unexpected but a very nice touch) and even one chapter from Catalina, Darius’s mother. While I enjoyed the change of setting and the new dynamic since the Heirs, and the Twins are forced to cohabit and collaborate with all the other rebels and outcasts, I feel that not much happened plot-wise for a book this long. It was mostly about character development, relationship development, and figuring out a way to defeat Lionel. There is still action of course, and overall I loved this book, but I just feel that there were some lengths when compared to the previous ones. What a wild and weird scene Tory had with those 3 witches. Not going to spoil it, but just huh? I was confused. Was it really necessary? RIP to Seth and Geraldine who have lost all integrity, and any prior character building, this was destroyed in this book. Seth literally acting like a 5 year old?? And Geraldine coping an enormous amount of unintelligible sentences that made my brain hurt from all the eye rolling.

I love them so much and I was so happy when they finally got all the happiness and love they deserved in this book. It took them 6 books to finally have a blissful life they both wanted since the moment they fell in love. I know it was for a fleeting moment because of the deal Darius made in book 6 but all the moments of them in this book are everything to me.Perfection was achieved with that single chapter. I choose to believe that the book ended right there. As we know, the Vegas, the Heirs & Co. are on the run, joining the rebels and laying in hiding until they can take on the false King and his Shadow Princess. All the bonds are broken because of Darius and his deal with the Stars, Orion is free from his prisons but still Power Shamed and Darcy has just been mysteriously cursed by Lavinia. Not the brightest beginning, but, even so, this book was amazing and we had some of the best moments ever (more on that in the Favorite Scenes section). At least that's how the first 90% of this book went. Because the last 10% felt like the iceberg that has sunk the Titanic.

I never saw this coming. They were so stingy and had that vampire rivalry going on that it was the last friendship I was ever expecting here. If they start cuddling in the next book, I'm gonna be crying with laughter. I married her,” I taunted as I swung the axe once more. “And when I return to her with your head hanging from my fist, I’ll bow to her too.” Seth was so cute and so funny. I was literally crying with how much I was laughing. I will never forget the looks the Uber driver gave me as I was fighting to stifle my laughs and drying out my tears. His POV is just pure gold. They’re cuddling,” Darcy whisper-squealed and Tory shushed her again but started suppressing a laugh.

Every plot in this book just takes too long. Seth and Caleb - just TALK already!!! Max and Geraldine - what is this? Are you guys a thing or you just occasionally water petunias together? Then the sad saga of Darius and his father, which could be described as: “But just as I was certain I had him…*fill in the blanks*” ARRRRGHHHH!! I’ve got no patience for that!!

I’d spent most of my life loving the moon without ever resting a paw on its surface. So Caleb would be my new moon, my unreachable love hanging over me in the sky.” I don't love the misunderstanding trope so I am not super happy about how things are with Seth and Caleb right now, but I guess I can understand it.I blame Venus and Moon, you horny duo! I gasped when I found out who came into the room after they found and used something from khem.. Tory's gift :D That whole exchange was hilarious.
