The darkness throughout this definitely kept everyone on their toes - including me. I just kept hoping things were going to get better and that Robin would fight the evil that was lurking within him. It helped that the people who knew him the best could easily see that something was different about him. Kierran has been adjusting to his new role as the King of the Forgotten. He knows he still has a lot to make up for due to his actions. He betrayed his friends and all of Faery trying to do what he thought was right for the Forgotten Queen, but they were not of like mind anymore and he killed her. But not everyone forgets, though his friends Ethan and Kenzie have already forgiven him.

I feel too old and, perhaps, too impatient for this type of story. It is very YA and I have been spending a lot of time lately reading contemporary fiction and mysteries and thrillers, so doing the jump from murders and unhappy adults to faeries fighting monsters is a little extreme. Ballpeen and Springtrap exploded into a chorus of loud warning barks. I was going to say something, but my voice was drowned out in the cacophony of doggy fury. If your ideal defence is a blisteringly fast offence, the Storm of Chogoris is the battleforce for you. Built around a dependable core of six Primaris Outriders and two Invader ATVs led by a Primaris Chaplain on Bike, this express delivery of pain discards weak and feeble legs for the mechanical purity of the wheel. In general, the higher in rank an Iron Raven rises within the Chapter, the more blue they display on their power armour. There’s too much mention of kissing when they really mean sex. Teenagers. Have. Sex. They likely talk about it more than we do because hormones. So stop clutching your pearls and just say the word sex. I’m not asking for graphic erotica, but this is just prudish. The Iron Raven is the first installment of a new trilogy set within the world of Julie Kagawa's much loved Iron Fey series. I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. My opinion of this brand-new series will differ vastly from the many fans of the Iron Fey world. As you know based on my review of Shadow’s Legacy, I am an Iron Fey newbie so I am looking at this world through a fresh pair of eyes and by golly I had a wonderful experience.

Now we have The Iron Fey: Evenfall. And after two books, I gotta say, I’m not loving it. Maybe it’s because I’m older now, maybe at this point, I’ve read way too many YA novels. Whatever the reason, this series has lost its charm. Banished from the Winter Court for daring to fall in love, Prince Ash achieved the impossible and journeyed to the End of the World to earn a soul and keep his vow to always stand beside Queen Meghan of the Iron Fey. I would definitely recommend this one to young readers, it is still a good story, but for people like me that mostly aged out of middle grade/teen type books I wouldn't go in expecting any more than just that or you will likely be disappointed. Lol, well I'm going to reveal my absolute geekiness and say that the name of the newest character, Nyx, is actually my D&D character, a dragon-hating elven assassin. There were a few tweaks, of course, but Nyx is...well, me in a D&D campaign. :PThe colour of the shoulder pauldron trim designates company number according to the dictates of the Codex Astartes.

Oh, you know. Mostly looking for trouble.” I waggled my brows. “But I could ask you the same. What are you doing in the goblin market? Don’t you have more important places to be?” I stepped forward. “Since when do you have to rely on the goblin market to send messages to the Iron Realm, kid?” I asked loudly. “Did something happen that we don’t know about? Or are you in trouble again? Or both?” I shrugged. “Both is always an option, I’ve learned.”

In The Iron Sword, Kierran's gone missing along with a lot of the Forgotten, and like most parents, Ash is worried, even if Kierran can handle himself as the King of the Forgotten (I mean, he has the magic of all three courts in him after all). This book overall feels a lot like a gradual buildup to the finale in the next book, as Kagawa spends a lot of time with the crew trying to locate Kierran's whereabouts and figuring out what new threat is heading for the NeverNever. It's not a slow pace, but there also seems to be a lot of beating around the bush in getting answers and most things feel relatively surface level with not much depth outside of the continuation of the overall plot. There were quite a few times where I felt things were just being repetitive but in a different style. Es war einmal in einer Schule vor einer langen Zeit ( vor 9 Jahren) , da hab ich die ,,Plötzlich Fee‘‘ Reihe gelesen.
