For one brief moment, her hand rested atop his, and the weight of it, the softness, the power of that touch nearly undid him. And he could scarce believe that something so small could feel so great. If you’re a Shakespeare fan, particularly Much Ado About Nothing (I do hope you saw that one coming lol), there are plenty of references. I also loved the Ancient Greek mentions and the flow of the narrative. I was immediately hooked and read the book super fast because I never wanted to leave them. Marriage of convenience/necessity heroine loses her fortune and the hero volunteers to marry her so she can have independence and continue her good works So, overall I thought there were some really sweet scenes and I really enjoyed them together. This was my first Eva Devon and I would definitely like to try more from her. I enjoyed the side characters in this one, especially Beatrice’s cousin and William’s brother, whose engagement is what brought them together in the first place. I had my ups and downs with this book. One thing that stands very strongly on the positive side for me was the hero, William. For a good part of the book anyway. I loved that he was dazzled by the heroine right from the beginning. I loved that he genuinely wanted women's rights before the heroine ever thought to shake a pamphlet at him. And I really loved how much he loved his brother.

From my point of view, is also very suitable for the office, the ladies said in part that this perfume becomes very dangerous for the wearer ;-)The Duke does not drink the brandy of his father-in-law Lord George, he is also not inclined towards rum, Radcliff prefers it, the illegitimate son of the Lord and thus half-brother of the Duchess and quasi the brother-in-law of our dandy. The Duke has succumbed to the gin. Penhaligon's now includes its own classic, a touch of Juniper Sling accompanies the Duke. The botanicals of the noble gin, especially juniper, blend well with the rose. Nothing's pushy.

A clever touch is the TV screens above the stage, allowing the audience to read all the amusing social media responses to the tension and drama happening in the villa. It’s both surprising and fascinating how well the world of Shakespeare lends itself to being transformed into a reality TV show: monologues are delivered in the form of confessionals, and the Friar is a glamorous TV presenter, who navigates through it all offering advice and bizarre solutions. If the original play is all about deception, this adaptation takes it one step further: it shows the artifice, the magus behind the wall, the puppeteer who pulls the strings. Will literally lost his mind. It was glorious. The book felt like enemies (very briefly)-to-acquaintances (very briefly)-to friends-to best friends-to lovers. Much Ado About Dukes draws loose inspiration from Shakespear’s Much Ado About Nothing, loose enough to keep the intrigue going but inspired enough to recognize some character dynamics and plot points.

What will Penhaligon’s Fragrance Profiling Divine About You?

However, I didn’t think I’d be losing my mind at hand-holding, but here we are. I also hope we get to see her pregnant/with kids in the next book(s) because I want to see them both absolutely lose their minds over a cute little spitfire baby.

When Beatrice finds her financially independent spibsterhood dreams ruined, Will offers her marriage in name only. Because they definitely won't fall in love.

The premise is rather exhilarating: every character is a contestant on a TV reality show, called Nothing Island, set in villa Messina. The producers of the show, along with the two runners, are there to ensure a smooth running of the new season, and to concoct the right amount of juicy tension to keep the audience enthralled and on the edge of their seats. The producers’ dreams come true when contestants Claudio and Hero fall in love. Another contestant, however, is plotting against their union. And so nasty rumours are being spread around, gossip whispered from ear to ear, deaths are faked, drama ensues. A battle of the sexes is crafted carefully, with humour and heart, offering a modern and timely commentary on love, desire and deception.
