Acquired from independent brewer and pub company, Hall and Woodhouse Limited, tropical fruit brand Rio has been marketed, sold and distributed on an exclusive licence brand by AG Barr’s recently acquired Boost Drinks division for the last two years. It has, after months of planning we have launched a new and improved recipe for our Rio Tropical drink. We have made this change to improve the nutritional profile of Rio Tropical, which has involved increasing the percentage of fruit juice and puree from concentrate and reducing the overall sugar content through the use of sweeteners such as Sucralose and Acesulfame. Rio is a ‘delicious blend of 11% real fruit and juice (orange, guava, apricot, mango and passionfruit) in lightly sparkling water’.
