I find the bigger problem with this being shown as something “ inspirational” and a way to “ belong“. I'm testing the current iteration of this scent. Although this has been out for nearly 20 years I don't think I ever really tried to smell this one. I decided to test it today and I love it, but that being said I don't think this will appeal to all and it's not a safe blind buy. As soon as I smelled this I realized I definitely smelled this on goth high schoolers and alternative college girls in the early 2000s and this scent made me deeply nostalgic for early 2000s goth fashion. I feel like I should be in one of those industrial alternative clubs circa 2003 when I wear this (just a feeling, I was too young to go to clubs in 2003). I can't even try to describe it. This is my favorite perfume ever and it's an olfactive travel to our innermost senses, our most precious and oriental dreams, our deep subconscious. A sexy bulletproof elder madame & fun loving girly in one. 2012 is close, but its deep creamy/crisp where this is deep creamy/umami.

Sprayed some on my wrist, didn't mind the liquid browning...it was love at first sniff 😭 It's nice in concept but for my taste it's too strong and really harsh on the nose with the way it smells. The blast of white floral to begin with settles to a heavy vanilla based dry down on me, which I find comforting and warm. I love vanilla based Perfumes though but I know they are not to everyone's taste. I've had mine for many years and always thought it was too much. But now it's becoming mor age-appropriate for me.
